Adopt Me Trading Guide

Adopt Me values are highly driven by pet aging, cosmetic attributes, and event availability. Because pets can be upgraded through gameplay, values are more dynamic than static item games.

Older, unobtainable pets hold a massive premium in value compared to pets currently available in eggs.

Pets are classified from Common to Legendary. However, rarity alone does not determine value. High-demand Legendaries are worth far more than low-demand ones.

Visual popularity and roleplay demand heavily influence which pets command the highest value points.

Making a Neon pet requires fully growing four normal pets. A Mega Neon requires growing four Neon pets. This process takes significant time, which is reflected in their value.

A Neon pet is typically worth more than four separate normal pets of the same type due to the labor required to age them.

Applying a Fly or Ride potion to a pet adds utility and changes its value. A pet with these attributes is generally worth more than a normal version of the same pet.

However, for extremely rare and old pets, some collectors prefer "no-potion" clean versions, which can sometimes carry a premium.

Many pets are tied to seasonal events (like Halloween or Christmas) or eggs that have been "retired" from the nursery.

Once an egg is retired, the supply of those pets is capped, and their trade values typically rise over time as player demand continues.

When comparing pets, look at their value tiers and demand levels on our Adopt Me values page. A high-tier, high-demand pet should not be traded for multiple low-tier, low-demand pets unless you are happy with the deal.

Ensure you factor in Fly/Ride attributes and growth stages when making your comparison.

A common mistake is trading a rare, limited pet for new event pets that were just released. New event pets always start with high hype but quickly drop in value as more players buy them.

Another mistake is ignoring demand ratings, trading for hard-to-swap pets that are difficult to trade later.
