How Trade Index Values Work

The July 2, 2026 Adopt Me baseline records Shadow Dragon at 2,450 Trade Index points and Bat Dragon at 2,100. These are stored reference scores. They are not Robux prices, a sample average of completed trades, or offers that another player has agreed to accept.

The baseline starts the record. Its date describes when that state was recorded, not when every statement about the item was independently checked.

Steal a Brainrot records use income per second. Grow a Garden retains an internal July score. Adopt Me now uses an AdoptMeValues.app Normal / No Potion value. A larger number in a different game or unit does not mean a more valuable trade.

A source using a pet-relative currency or a different income interval cannot be compared by stripping the label from its number.

An automated check can capture what an allowlisted public source says. It does not prove that the source is current, that its method is accurate, or that two websites independently reached the same conclusion.

Item identity, variant and unit must match before an observation can support a proposed change. Missing information remains missing.

The preserved V1 ledger records proposals and approved editorial changes. Dataset V2 publishes an Adopt Me source snapshot only after objective identity, unit, date, and full-coverage checks. Rejected and pending V1 proposals are not V2 history points.

The update log and item evidence let you separate a fetch from a decision. A successful scheduled run is not an item review.

An editorial note should explain the actual decision, including a source conflict or unchanged value where relevant. A baseline comment about popularity is not evidence of measured trade frequency.

If only one state exists, there is no recorded movement to calculate. Do not interpret the lack of later changes as proof that the live market stayed still.

For the two baseline dragon scores, the difference is 350 points. That arithmetic is reproducible within this dataset. It does not establish a required add, variant premium, or recommendation to accept.

That July example cannot be reproduced with the current Adopt Me analyzer because its source unit is different. Open current item records, check dates and variants, then compare compatible values.
